Sanya has four main bays, each with its own character. We will tell you about them honestly, so you can choose your own.
Yalong Bay
Sanya’s finest beaches and clearest water: soft white sand, a gentle entry, a transparent sea. This is where the top five-star properties of the world’s chains gather, surrounded by quiet, greenery and mountains. Ideal for a calm, premium escape; the centre is 20–25 minutes away by car.

Haitang Bay
The island’s new premium district — quiet and spacious. Here you will find Sanya’s largest duty-free complex and the resort landmark Atlantis Sanya, with its water park and aquarium. The hotels are new and the infrastructure modern; it is the farthest from the centre, but the whole duty-free and family entertainment are right beside you.

Sanya Bay
A long city waterfront — the famous "coconut avenue" along the sea, superb sunsets and a place for long walks. Prices here are friendlier than in Yalong and Haitang, and the centre is a stone’s throw away. A good balance of "city plus sea".

Dadonghai
The heart of tourist Sanya: a compact, welcoming bay, with the beach a short walk from most hotels. Everything is close by — cafés and restaurants with menus in your language, shops, pharmacies, massage and nightlife. The most convenient district to have it all at hand, with no language barrier.
